Sweetwater Center for Organic Opportunity invites you to join us for a day-long bus tour of local organic farms and on-farm bakeries  in northern West Michigan!

-Learn how food is being grown on the “back side of the calendar” – we will see three hoophouses planted for winter production including one on wheels!
-Visit the Laughing Tree solar powered bakery!

Farms included in the tour: Crow Feather Farm, Earthscape Farm, Maple Moon Farm, Hickory Ridge Family Farm, Liberty Family Farm & Bakery & Laughing Tree Bakery

Details: Cost for the trip is $30 per person and includes chartered bus by Cardinal Tours, a farm lunch at the beautiful Earthscape Farm and snacks.

Once registered, please mail check payable to Sweetwater Center for Organic Opportunity, 6543 Hancock Rd., Montague, MI 49437. Bus will be loading at the parking lot behind Panera’s on Sherman Blvd, Muskegon beginning at 9:45 and will depart promptly at 10:00am.

Mountain Crunch Granola (pure vanilla, toasted almonds, and organic coconut oil) and Laughing Tree Peanut Butter Granola (all-natural PB, pure vanilla, and Michigan honey).

Both of these granolas are baked in our wood-fired brick oven after the intense bread-baking heat has dissipated (after several days).  They are baked at a low temperature to ensure that the nutrients in the grains and seeds remain intact!  Please note, these granolas are SWEETENED ONLY WITH MICHIGAN HONEY!  There is absolutely no refined sugar in them.

Our goats are starting to slow down milk production so this week might be our last week at market for awhile. We’ll have plenty of fresh chevre, as well as our herbed & honey orange chevre, plus Feta and You Goat Girl cheeses.

We will be at market this week with our pastured pork, chicken and order forms for Thanksgiving turkeys. See you then.

The last day we can distribute DUFB tokens is November 24. The last day you can use them at our market is December 1.
