Laughing Tree Bakery of Hart
Greetings from Laughing Tree Brick Oven Bakery—
We finally got to have a round of strawberry shortcake this weekend while watching the Women’s World Cup Finals…  Holy moly!  What a game!  And with that grand finale, we bid the Vanilla Shortcakes “Adieu” until next year…  We hope you got a chance to enjoy one of these treats while they were here.
This weekend brings the oh-so-tasty Cobmoosa Onion Rye ($6) to the market.  Have we mentioned lately that our Kamut is still our favorite toast for breakfast?  This wholegrain beauty packs a flavorful, nutritional punch—fermented over 20 hours, this loaf is loaded with minerals and protein.  I eat 3-4 slices every day with cashew butter, ground flax, and rhubarb jam…  We just can’t get enough of this bread!

The Roaring Mouse of Hart
New coffee and a new display! We were busy on our week off, and made some changes to our display. Also we have new coffees from Guatemala, Colombia, and Ethiopia.
We are still working on our teas. This week we will have the same black and green teas available. Hopefully soon we will be adding more.
Come by to learn how to brew better coffee using the French Press or a pour-over cone. We have both for sale, as well as filters for the cone. This week we will also be showcasing the Aeropress!
Come and get a fresh brewed-to-order cup of our freshly roasted coffee! Get a ceramic cup to enjoy at the market for $1 or a to-go cup for $3.
As always, we sell our coffee by the ounce so you can get the perfect amount to use while it is the freshest. We also have gift certificates; the perfect gift for a coffee lover!
In the roaster this week:
New! Colombia FTO – Similar in taste to the Guatemala, but with more of a brown sugar and honey sweetness, and less of the chocolate.
New! Guatemala FTO – A deliciously sweet, low acid replacement for our Peru. Milk chocolate and caramel notes, with a full body. Roasted to a medium level, this coffee is great with or without milk.
New! Ethiopia Amaro Gayo Org. – A deliciously fruity light roast, this coffee has notes of strawberry and brown sugar. The aroma reminds me of fresh strawberry pie! This coffee is grown, harvested, processed, and exported by Ethiopia’s only female miller/exporter Asnakech Thomas. She is dedicated to improving the quality of life of women and children in the area, and is working toward building a hospital. She is also dedicated to producing the highest quality organic coffee.
Papua New Guinea FTO – Low acid, with notes of caramel and nuts. A good, strong medium-dark roast.
Decaffeinated Peru FTO – rich and sweet, with chocolate and caramel notes. A very delicious decaf! This coffee was decaffeinated using the Mountain Water Process. It is a natural, chemical free process which allows the bean to retain much of its unique flavor.
Come taste the fresh difference!
Call or text (231)742-0229 or email titus@theroaringmouse.com to order in advance, and we will have it bagged up and ready for you. Advance orders will ensure that we don’t run out of your favorite coffee before you get some!
