Monday Market Preorder Newsletter

-Please be sure to get your bread orders in to Laughing Tree by 6pm Tuesday! They always have a good selection of extra breads & pastries but if you take a look at their list of things available for preorder you will find a lot more!
-Big news for fruit lovers from Samantha at The Woven Farm – read her update to find out more!
-Dark Water Coffee Roasters would appreciate preorders!

-Today’s Soapbox Special (aka: yet one more reason to eat local). Did you know that CAFO raised beef cattle are fed poultry litter (chicken manure?) Here’s a link from Missouri University Extension Service https://extension.missouri.edu/publications/g2077
Beef cattle have the ability to digest low-cost feedstuffs that are not usable by other livestock species. One such feedstuff is poultry litter, which provides opportunities for both the poultry producer and the beef cattle producer. The large quantities of litter produced during modern poultry production are expensive to dispose of safely; moreover, protein is typically the most expensive ingredient in ruminant diets. Feeding poultry litter is a means of disposing of a waste product while concurrently supplying a low-cost protein feed to beef cattle.”

At Sweetwater you will find ONLY meats from small flock, pasture raised animals – viva the local difference!

See you Saturday at the Market!

Also, keep on the lookout for a blueberry update! Little did we know that when we purchased land this past year, we purchased an old blueberry field. This field has been out of production for some time (decades.) However, it is still producing big, beautiful, delightful tasting berries! I have been enjoying a handful each day as they ripen. Berries are 100% chemical free and almost ready for the market table! – I am hoping to have some available this week, but estimating they will ripen up with lots available for the following week!
To preorder, please email inquire@thewoventrifecta.com. Orders accepted through 8am Friday. Cash/check/card/venmo accepted!
