Attending this Saturday’s market:

Strawberries return!

The Ware Farm of Bear Lake

Certified Organic Strawberries! We SO appreciate the Ware Farm traveling the distance to bring us the best strawberries in West Michigan! Certified Organic for over a decade now, Bernie & Sandee Ware have always specialized in Heirloom varieties of strawberries, happy that they are able to offer fruit that is safe for people, kids and the planet!

The weather has been much more cooperative this year, but please come early if you want some!

Hickory Ridge Family Farm of Ferry

Hickory Ridge Family Farm will return to the market this weekend with the first pre-ordered chickens of the season, and a limited number of chicken cuts available for purchase! If you submitted a pre-order form for the month of June, please drop by to pick up your order – we can’t wait for you to try our birds this year! If you haven’t ordered a chicken yet, be sure to ask us about pre-orders, or come try our available fresh chicken cuts while they last.

We will have limited quantities of our delicious pastured pork available this week, including Pork Chops, Sweet Italian Sausage, Chorizo Sausage, and Smoked Ham Hocks.

We are also excited to announce that we will be offering limited quantities of Freedom Ranger chickens beginning in mid-August! Freedom Rangers were developed in France from traditional, heritage-breed chickens to meet the highest standards of the French “Label Rouge Free Range Program.” Unlike the conventional cornish-cross chickens that we usually raise on pasture, Freedom Rangers need no encouragement to graze and will forage for 30% or more of their diet, resulting in a very happy, healthy, and tasty 4-6 lb chicken. We will have Freedom Ranger pre-order forms available at market and would love to talk to you about these delightful and delicious chickens.
