THANK YOU!

Blackbird Farm of Coopersville
Last Saturday provided us with enough of a break in the weather for us to plant our garlic crop for next season–the final mission-critical task of the year. And just in time, too, given the turn the weather has taken this week. Soon the focus of the farm turns inward, though for now there is still plenty of food in the fields, root cellar, and hoophouse for us to enjoy.
This week we will likely be bringing:
head lettuce
microgreens
kale, full size and baby
cabbages, full size and mini
cauliflower
broccoli
kohlrabi
turnips
carrots
potatoes, four varieties
sunchokes
horseradish
scallions
leeks
onions, red and yellow
shallots
garlic, two varieties
We will also have premium seed garlic available–it’s not too late for you to plant your own crop!
Additionally, we will have very limited quantities of fresh, farm-grown ginger and turmeric.
Looking forward to seeing friends new and old on Saturday!
