Julie Engel of the Pasturage is asking for preorders for the Honeycrisp Apples. Given that the weather reports are calling for rain Saturday she would like to get a head start on filling orders. No worries if you don’t preorder, she will have plenty of apples, but do remember to bring your own containers.
Also Earthkeeper Farm is returning with a new offering: frozen elderberries!
Blackbird Farm, Earthscape Farm, Liberty Farm & The Woven Farm have a nice variety of fall veggies, baked goods & meats available for both preorder and walk up sales!
Thanks again, and see you at the Market!
Vendors Attending Saturday September 24th:
The Pasturage of Montague
Update on purchasing Certified Organic Honeycrisp Apples Saturday: In light of the rain predicted for Saturday, I think I’d better get a jump on people’s orders. That way, people don’t have to stand in the rain while I weigh apples. To place a preorder: Text or call 231 288 6112. Email email@example.com
To pay: Cash or check (made out to The Pasturage, LLC) at pick up is preferred. And don’t forget to check out our meat pricelist and pre-order your meat as well!
Bring your own container. Note that 48# is roughly a bushel. Prices are as follows:
-For 48# and above, this weekend only, Sweetwater Special, it will be $2.80/#.
-Between 24-48#, it’ll be $3/#.
-Anything under 24# is $3.25/#.
Order as many as you want! Brave the weather! These beauts are worth it!!
More info on apples: These apples are via my neighbors the Jensen Family, at First Fruits Farm in New Era. They have harvested their first ever Certified Organic Honeycrisp crop. They’re delicious, I mean, blow your mind. They are a beautiful red strained variety; really something to be proud of. Note that 48# is roughly a bushel.
After this weekend, we will likely still have the apples for sale, but I’m not sure. I know we will not be at Sweetwater on 10/8 or 10/29.
Come out in droves for this fall favorite!
As always, we will have pork and lamb for sale as well!

Earthscape Farm of Hesperia
Hello, Sweetwater friends! We will be there on Saturday, September 24th!
I HAVE SO MANY PEPPERS! RED, ORANGE, LAVENDAR, PURPLE, GREEN, AND POBLANO! Peppers freeze well! Seed and chop them. Spread them 1 layer deep on cookie sheets and freeze till hard. Put them in any kind of container. They will last a year in the freezer, and can be used in any cooked dish – eggs, chili, casseroles, etc. I like to freeze red peppers to add pizzazz to any dish. Sweet Red Peppers always make me remember Amy Oak. They were her favorite. Plus we will bring any other extra vegetables with us – eggplant, onions, Savoy, red and green cabbage, and maybe more. Need tomatoes? Please let us know if you want to pay at pick up (cash or checks made out to Earthscape Farm), or on line with a Square invoice. We can most likely fill orders up until 8am Saturday morning!

New! Strawberry shrub! 4oz/11$
Organic strawberries extracted in apple cider vinegar and our raw honey. The combo of apple cider vinegar and honey is a good electrolyte mix. This makes a nice addition to sparkling or still water, for extra flavor and hydration. This is also a great addition to olive oil for a salad dressing.
