Friday Update News
Blackbird Farm will have limited watermelon – come early if you want some! There’s still time for a meat preorder from Pine Row &  Pasturage farms. They will also both have a smaller selection of frozen meats along with them Saturday. See you at the market!

Vendors Attending Saturday August 19th:

Blackbird Farm of Coopersville
The farm is really coming into its own right now, bursting with all the glorious vegetables of high summer, and we are very much looking forward to bringing it all to you at this coming market. A reminder: It is your continued support of our stall that allows us to continue to attend the Sweetwater market. We hope to see you there this Saturday!
This Saturday we will likely be bringing:
Watermelons (very limited quantities)
Kale, red and green curly
Head lettuce, red and green summercrisp
Mini Cabbages
Tomatoes, red and heirloom
Cherry tomato mix
Summer squash
Patty pan squash
Green peppers
Hot peppers
We may also have a few flower bouquets from Shel’s cut flower garden.
Forrest will also be bringing his special hot sauce, now in two varieties.
Looking forward to seeing friends old and new at market this weekend!

Funny Farm of Grant
The season is half way thru and the garden is still growing although some
stuff is done. Summer squash has run it’s course for the season. But
there’s still lots of stuff just coming on. We should have more cherry
tomatoes coming on in the next couple weeks and the second plantings of
cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli are doing well. And we’re spotting
lots of winter squash among the leaves! So here’s what I expect to have
this week.
Cabbage and Napa cabbage,
dino and curly kale,
Swiss chard(?)
White onions
Potatoes of many colors

Cucumbers and pickles

I will have some big blackberries but I already have some pre-orders so
I’ll have to see how many we get this week. They are producing many
berries right now! If I find anything else, I’ll bring it too! As
always, feel free to place a request at my text # 734 945 0720 and I
will respond to confine the order. Thanks for all your support this year!

The Pasturage of Montague
Summer! What a glorious time. We weaned our lambs from the ewes and they’re both feasting on the mid-summer pasture which has mostly recovered from the drought.  Our pigs are devouring poison ivy, multi-flora rose and honeysuckle. I admit I encourage this behavior with a little well-placed grain. We’re hosting a turkey tour in early October so stay tuned for updates to see these prehistoric creatures chirring on grass. Anyone with a pre-order this week will receive a complimentary reusable, bright orange bag, brand new from CVS.
As always, our pre-order form is the best way to see what we have and get what you want! Find it here: https://form.jotform.com/231266729632056 or you can always call/text 231 288 6112 or email thepasturage@gmail.com
