Microgreens will be back on the market table this week!
I am currently trialing fenugreek microgreens as a potential addition to the microgreen menu in 2023. Last Saturday was their debut on the market table, and I am anticipating them to be a popular item!
The seeds smell just like maple syrup. Seeding these trays had me dreaming up a pancake brunch
While they boast a sweet scent, these greens are actually quite zippy in flavor. They are a versatile green packed with nutrition that can be used in an array of dishes – I recommend pairing them with a curry based dish.
Stop on down to @sweetwaterlocal this Saturday to give them a try
I will publish a list of available greens in Friday’s newsletter. Walk up sales only.
See ya Saturday!!

The Mannor Farm of Hesperia
The new year is here.
At the farm, we are taking a little break and getting ready for the 2023 Farmers Market season.  It will be here before we know it.
In the past year, we made a few changes to our farm operations.  We stopped using plastic mulch; opting for machine cultivation and manual hoeing to control weeds.  We also added meat chickens, guinea fowl, and rabbits to our market offerings.  We started work on the barn (this project is still in progress).
Starting in May 2023, we will be offering eggs from our Certified Naturally Grown flock of hens.
We will also open a farm market stand at the farm starting in late spring or early summer.
We also started offering a CSA Farm Card membership program.
Our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) membership is a unique program.  Members are issued a prepaid Farm (gift) Card loaded with the cash value of their membership (plus the bonus value). For an investment of $100 to $500, you will receive a Farm (gift) Card loaded with $110 to $600.   That is a discount of 10-20%.
The members can use the Farm Card to pay for their purchases from us at the farm or the Farmers Markets that we attend on a regular basis.
The members only buy what they want when they want it.  They will be notified what we will have each week so they may pre-order for pick-up at the farm stand or one of the Farmers Markets.  Or they may wait to purchase at the farm (during our scheduled hours) or at the farmers markets near them.
Again thank you for your business in 2022 and we look forward to seeing you at the Farmers Markets in 2023.
