The Pasturage of Montague
Wow, I think this is the sunniest February I can remember. Despite the warm weather, I am somehow shocked we are headed into March.  Also, great news! Our farm has been selected to participate in the Climate Smart Commodities Project. This is a minimum 5 year commitment that quantifies our planet saving efforts earning a Certified Regenerative by A Greener World distinction. We are super excited about this. What does this mean for you? You can rest assured that everything we produce is done so with climate health as top priority. In other news, we will have chicken available beginning June 8 as whole and cut up. Keep it in mind! Finally, we will resume our delivery schedule this Saturday. Check out all our options at www.thepasturage.com/order
Enjoy the sun!
Julie

The Woven Farm of Whitehall
Hello Folks!
My market hiatus is quickly coming to an end! While I have enjoyed a short break from early Saturday mornings at the market table, our crop of mid winter greens are beginning to reach maturity!
I plan to return to market NEXT weekend with microgreens, and harvested seed, and fingers crossed for our first hoophouse harvest! I look forward to seeing you all next week! In the meantime, if you are hoping to support the farm through an early season sale, CSA shares are live on the website! P.S – our well is scheduled to be driven in mid April! A continued thanks to all who have helped get us to this point over these past couple of crazy seasons!
Cheers to Good Growing!

The Pasturage of Montague
Hi all, we will not be able to deliver to Sweetwater for the next two weeks. We will resume delivery on 2/24. In the meantime, we will be inside at our usual stall at the Muskegon market. It looks like our winter reprise may be on its way. Personally, I am looking forward to it because my first cross country ski attempt in January ended in a tangle of skis and poles and mud. Even though we had snow, the ground never froze and I skiied right into a gully I didn’t even know was there! Check us out at www.thepasturage.com/order for all the things fit to eat

~ Andy & Dennise

The Pasturage of Montague
Our maples were dripping in the sun the other day. I asked one of the other vendors at Muskegon if their sap was running. They’re significantly further inland, and he said no, and that he hoped it wouldn’t run yet for awhile. I’m reading a book called Sweetgrass written by a Potawatomi botanist. I love the reverence their culture has for the maple. I didn’t know this until I started reading old first hand captivity narratives, but pretty much every Indian tribe abhorred salt. They seem to all love sugar. Sometimes I think to myself: Oh, how easy it would be to peddle sugar! But I don’t. I peddle meat. But like maple syrup, our meat is full of nutrients you won’t find in the super-abundant alternative stocked (seemingly forever) on the grocery store shelf. INSTRUCTIONS FOR How to Pre-Order
1. Look over the list. Each vendor has a unique deadline for when they need to receive your pre-order depending on their product. Send your pre-order by email to each vendor you want to order from, within their required deadlines.
2. Vendors will respond back by no later than Friday before market day with an order confirmation and an invoice that in most cases will allow you to pre-pay for your order. If a vendor is not set up to take payment online they will accept checks (preferred) or cash on market day pickup.

Pine Row Farm of Rothbury
Hello :-),
I will bring the usual walk up items weekly since market will be every week. Preorders are still recommended for items you consider crucial. I sometimes sell out, and it’s easier than guessing what everyone wants to eat all week!
We will accept orders until 5pm on Friday. I will try to get totals emailed out by 9:30pm on Friday. If you don’t get a response from me, please contact me. We accept cash or check payable to Pine Row Farm.

I didn’t know this until I started reading old first hand captivity narratives, but pretty much every Indian tribe abhored salt. Check us out at www.thepasturage.com/order for all the things fit to eat
Check it out! Tootaloo!  Julie
