Hi peeps, Happy solstice! I can’t believe we’re tipping the balance towards longer days soon. And with it, the official start of winter, which we’ve been experiencing for quite some time already. I can’t remember a December like this, personally, but that doesn’t mean much as my memory was never stellar.
We’ll deliver to Sweetwater if there is a meet up, so stay tuned to this newsletter. Otherwise, we’ll be at Muskegon except when it’s closed for Holiday break (Dec 27 and Jan 3). We’ll have more lamb back in stock January 7. If you’d like a whole lamb, or whole pig, let me know by January 4. Soup and Sandwiches are back! Our wintertime menu of grilled sandwiches and homemade soup returns this Saturday! We are serving up sandwiches from 9–1:30pm on Saturdays (the market is open 9–2pm). There is a great little seating area within the market or we will happily pack your order up to go!

Everything here on our farm is raised with love and care until it is ready for harvest. We do this WITHOUT the use of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO’s), pesticides, herbicides, chemicals, hormones, steroids, or antibiotics. In addition to all the above our livestock is also corn, soy and wheat free. We focus on raising our livestock with a pasture and produce based diet.

Green Wagon Farm of Ada
This certified organic farm is located in Ada, Michigan and though probably more of a drive than most of us would make often, I was SO excited to find their produce at the Henry St Health Hutt this week! I bought the spinach and it was SO fresh and delicious!
If you purchase Green Wagon Farm products and appreciate them PLEASE let management at the Health Hutt stores know and ask them to continue to carry it!

Farm owners Chad and Heather Anderson both grew up in West Michigan.
After spending a couple of years learning more about farming, Chad worked for a season with Tom and Katie at Groundswell Farm in Zeeland, Michigan and started Green Wagon Farm the next season, in the spring of 2010.
The Anderson family has grown the farm from a small roadside stand on borrowed land to the certified organic, family-owned, year-round operation it is today.
