Funny Farm, Pine Row Farm, Mannor Farm & The Pasturage have great selections of baked goods, veggies & meats available for preorder this week!

Funny Farm of Grant
This week I will again have the cherry tomatoes and brokale! the
broccoli will be maybe the next week. Big tomatoes are coming soon too!
Lots of flowers on the bean stalks and squash and the cabbages, peppers,
and carrots and kohlrabi are sizing up well too, as well as everything
else. Garlic is pulled!  Watermelons maybe 6 weeks? Fingers crossed!

Potatoes, Nicola, Red and another, not decided now
Basil, sweet and lemon
Parsley, flat leaf

These are just starting, not sure now many I will have so pre-order is

Brokale, a cross of broccoli and kale with a sweet flavor and edible
leaves, cook with the long thin stems and leaves

Prices listed are per pound. Orders are filled in the order we receive them. Preorders are encouraged but I bring a selection for walk ups.

We have been back at the Muskegon market since May 3. We will be there every Saturday until sometime in October. Our plant sale is ending this week. Our weekly farm stand has begun and will move to Wednesday nights from 4:30-6:30 pm starting Wednesday, June 4.

  • Our cut-flower beds are overflowing with all manner of beautiful blooms ready for harvest. We will be opening up the flower patch to the public for bouquet nights on Mondays and Wednesdays (6:00 pm to dusk) starting next Wednesday, July 23 (weather permitting), and running through the beginning of October. As always, you are welcome to harvest what you like and pay what you wish.

We are also booking private bouquet gatherings—perfect for birthday parties, bridal showers, church groups, and more!—on the weekends. Reach out to Shel at hello.blackbirdfarms@gmail.com if you’re interested in learning more.

  • The good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, we should finally be able to offer the first of our Second Saturday on-farm markets on August 9, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, where we’ll be selling veggies, flowers, and fruit, and will likely have some you-pick options as well. Hope you can join us!
  • Throughout the rest of the summer and into the fall, you can find Blackbird Farms produce at the Grand Haven and Muskegon Health Hutts, with fresh deliveries made each week by Saturday morning.
