Meadow View Goat Dairy of Fremont
Chevreʹ  Fresh chevre with a nice spreading consistency, perfect for sandwich toppings and cooking. Cherry Capital Foods of Traverse City says  ” The chèvre produced by Meadow View has a pitch perfect acidity on the palate that becomes gently sweet and milky with a grassy note on the finish.”
Seasoned Chevreʹ
Our fresh Chevre available in your favorite flavorings: Blueberry Vanilla (great on a morning bagel!) Hickory-smoked bacon Bits, Garlic, Italian Herb, & Hot Pepper
Feta
A smooth and creamy feta which is low in salt and rich in fresh goat milk flavor. The brining process gives feta cheese a salty, tangy flavor and a crumbly consistency. Feta cheese can be served as a table cheese, used in baking savory dishes, or served as an appetizer or in salads. The classic Greek salad is made with Feta cheese. In crumbles or cubes for easy slicing.
Tomme de Fremont
Our first aged cheese is quickly becoming a customer favorite! Developed from a French recipe, Tomme is a lower fat mold ripened cheese, aged at least 60 days. This gives the cheese a stronger flavor & firmer texture than the fresh Chevres, perfect for slicing.
Dutch Kase
A Meadow View Dairy original! If you are looking for a nicely aged but milder version of our Tomme, this is the cheese for you. Vacuum sealed without mold and aged at least 60 days.
Marco Similar to Dutch Kase but pasteurized and vacuum sealed, it comes in Pepper, Sage, Italian & Garlic.
Other items from our farm:
We’ll also have eggs from our free-range, GMO-free flock.
Note: We will be attending market the last Saturday of every month.
We will be at market ONLY the last Saturday of the month. Thank you!

Bloom Ferments of Grand Rapids
Our Kombucha is a slightly sweet, effervescent, probiotic fermented tea using only fair trade and organic ingredients. Slightly sweeter than most commercial brands, Bloom kombucha has a more inviting taste and is enjoyed by long-time kombucha drinkers and people new to kombucha.

We will be selling it in 64oz growlers for $20, 9oz cups for $2.50, or you can bring your own container and we will charge based on how many ounces. We also have our starter kits, containing the scoby, starter tea and a 1 gallon jar with directions on how to brew it.

Shady Side Farm of Holland
This week I’ll be at market with our certified organic beans, all harvested last fall, in the following varieties:
Black Turtle – Common black bean with a thick skin and a meaty texture.
Black Valentine – Taste like kidney beans, great for salads, soups and dips.
Hutterite Soup – Comfort food, cook fast, creamy soup, baby food.
Jacob’s Cattle – Big and meaty, taste & texture of new potatoes, traditional baked beans, chili.
Jacob’s Cattle Gold – Hold shape w/ long cooking, soak up other flavors well, soups and stews.
October – (Almost gone–get them now!) Creamy, velvety smooth texture, nutty, sweet flavor, thin skin, soups or chili.
Painted Lady – Slightly sweet bean, smooth, creamy texture, good in everything.
Pinto – Earthy flavor, great in Mexican cooking, falls apart under long cooking.
Please let me know ahead of time if you’d like to order 5# bags of any one variety, so that I can pre-bag those and bring them along.

I will have our certified organic non-GMO corn along in two different options:
Whole corn (for making masa) – 2# bags. If you want corn in larger amounts than just 2#, please email me. I will have the little packets of lime necessary for making the masa, as well.
Freshly-ground corn meal – 2# bagsWe took our whole corn down to Windmill Island in Holland and had them grind corn meal for us. This stoneground meal is fresh, fresh, fresh!

In addition, I’ll have Grassfield Farms organic raw aged cheeses along in the following flavors:
Aged Cheddar – You asked, and we listened! A sharp cheddar, aged a year. Award-winning!
Chili – Gouda with Red Chili flakes, this mild and creamy cheese has delightful spice without being too hot.
Country Dill – A house favorite, the dill herb in Gouda well represents the fresh grass that dominates the cows’ diet.
Crofters – This delicious cheese is aged 1 year with a medium sharp taste. The texture is dry and crumbly. Very similar to Parmesan.
Edam – A variety of Gouda made with skim milk: Elastic, yet firm, this flawless low fat cheese is our best melter, improving any dish.
Garlic & Onion – The most aromatic of herbs. Don’t be the only one in the room to eat this spiced Gouda or you soon will be.
Gouda – A traditional handmade cheese in keeping with West Michigan’s (and our family’s) Dutch culture.
Lamont Cheddar – A rare, natural rind English cheese, named for the Grand River’s first settlement near our farm.
Leyden – Originally from the Rhine Valley, now the Grand River Valley; cumin perfectly compliments this aged Dutch cheese.
Polkton Corners – The centuries-old name for the Grassfields farmland; this original semi-soft creamy offering is mouth-watering at room temperature.
Cheese Sticks – Want to try some cheese, but don’t need a whole 8 ounces? I’ll have a few cheese sticks along each week, in a variety of cheese types, for $2 each.

It’s coffee time! We have a unique coffee from Sumatra in a limited
supply again this week! If you want to try something new, come early
before it is gone. We will not be at market next Saturday, May 2nd, so
stock up this week.
In the roaster this week:

•       Bolivia Fair Trade Organic – a sweet rich cup with chocolate notes.
Very good with dessert.
•       Ethiopia Sidama Fair Trade Organic – a complex cup with berry notes
and a sweet finish. This is one of our favorites!
•       Decaffinated Peru Fair Trade Organic – rich and sweet, with
chocolate and caramel notes. A very delicious decaf! This coffee was
decaffeinated using the Mountain Water Process. It is a natural,
chemical free process which allows the bean to retain much of its
unique flavor.
•       Sumatra Fair Trade Organic – Bold, earthy, with a molasses sweetness
and a light acidity. This is a limited supply and is only available by
the ounce.

Come taste the fresh difference! Brewed samples will be available for

Meadow View Goat Dairy of Fremont
Cherry Vanilla Chevre is our newest addition to our spreadable Chevres. We think you’ll like this one, especially good on a morning bagel!

From Jen:
It has been a while since we have been market vendors at Sweetwater.  We cut back on farmer’s markets the last few years when we had babies in the house but now our boys are getting big and quickly becoming little farm helpers.  This will be our 8th year with a CSA program and are also expanding our gardens and hope to have enough extra veggies this season to bring some to market.  Our hoop-house survived all the storms so far and is loaded with beautiful spinach and the lettuce mix and kale are getting close.  Along with greens we will also bring storage crops including beets, carrots, shallots, and potatoes.  All our veggies are grown organically and we are down to the last few pages of our organic certification paperwork.

Freshly-ground corn meal – 2# bags. We took our whole corn down to Windmill Island in Holland and had them grind corn meal for us.

If there is anything woolly that you are interested in, it doesn’t hurt to shoot me an email. Now that the weather is getting nicer, I will not be bringing along wool goods on a regular basis.

The Roaring Mouse of Hart
It’s coffee time! We have a unique coffee from Sumatra in a limited
supply again this week! If you want to try something new, come early
before it is gone. This will be the last week for the Mexico coffee.
If you want some come early! We only have a little bit left!

•       Mexico Terruño Nayarita Organic – a bright, rich cup with caramel
notes and a sweet finish. This is another great cup from a group of
small farmers in Mexico. It is claimed to be the best coffee in
Mexico, and the farmers get a high price for the quality.

Brewed samples will be available for
all coffees!
We try not to roast too much extra in order to keep the coffee fresh
every week. Advance orders will ensure that we don’t run out of your
favorite coffee before you get some!

This week I’ll be at market with our certified organic beans, all harvested last fall. Please let me know ahead of time if you’d like to order 5# bags of any one variety, so that I can pre-bag those and bring them along.

I will have our organic non-GMO corn (for making masa) along in 2# bags. I will also have the little packets of lime. If you want corn in larger amounts than just 2#, please email me.

New this week is our freshly-ground corn meal. We took our organic non-GMO corn (the same corn you can buy at the market) down to Windmill Island in Holland and had them grind corn meal for us. This stoneground meal is fresh, fresh, fresh! Available in 2# bags.

In addition, I’ll have Grassfield Farms raw aged cheeses along in all the regular flavors in both 8 ounce wedges and cheese sticks. New this week is Polkton Corners. Polkton Corners is the centuries-old name for the Grassfields farmland. This original semi-soft creamy offering is mouth-watering at room temperature.

If there is anything woolly that you are interested in, it doesn’t hurt to shoot me an email. I can’t take everything along every week, so let me know what you’d like me to focus on. Hope to see you Saturday!

YOGA TIME at the market!
Hi, I am Erin Mund. I am finishing my teacher training to become a certified yoga teacher by Yoga Alliance and would love to share my knowledge that I have acquired through Peacelab Yoga Studio in Grandville, Michigan with the Sweetwater market customers and vendors if they are able to sneak away for an hour this Saturday. My family has been selling at the market for several years now and the community that has been created is really something to admire. I could not imagine a better place to complete my “community” hours for teacher training. The one hour class will be donation based. If anyone is interested in donating to the foundation of Rocco’s Heart https://www.facebook.com/roccosheart/timeline I will have information about the foundation available at the market, but here is the Facebook link. Please bring your own mats and any yoga props that you may need or use in your own practice (blanket, blocks or a strap). Everyone is welcomed to join and I look forward to being part of this wonderful community again. See you Saturday for yoga at the market 11am-12pm.

Are you excited for spring? We sure are! We are enjoying getting to know all of you and sharing our love of fresh coffee. We will not be at the market on Saturday, April 4, so be sure to stock up this Saturday! If you want to be sure to get your favorite kind please contact us ahead of time and I will have it bagged up and ready for you.

In the roaster this week:
·         Bolivia Fair Trade Organic – a sweet rich cup with chocolate notes. Very good with dessert.

·         Ethiopia Sidama Fair Trade Organic – a complex cup with berry notes and a sweet finish. This is one of our favorites!
·         Mexico Terruño Nayarita Organic – a bright, rich cup with caramel notes and a sweet finish. This is another great cup from a group of small farmers in Mexico. It is claimed to be the best coffee in Mexico, and the farmers get a high price for the quality.
·         Decaffinated Peru Fair Trade Organic – rich and sweet, with chocolate and caramel notes. A very delicious decaf! This coffee was decaffeinated using the Mountain Water Process. It is a natural, chemical free process which allows the bean to retain much of its unique flavor.
Come taste the fresh difference! Brewed samples will be available for all coffees! Full brewed cups available for donation.
We try not to roast too much extra in order to keep the coffee fresh every week. Pre-orders will ensure that we don’t run out of your favorite coffee before you get some!

Hidatsa Red – (Almost gone–get them now!) Slight nutty taste, use in chili or red beans and rice.

I will have our organic non-GMO corn (for making masa) along in 2# bags. Last week for the special introductory price of $2.50. We have found that cleaning and bagging takes a little more time than we expected, and so we find it necessary to have a small price increase. If you want corn in larger amounts than just 2#, please email me.

In addition, I’ll have Grassfield Farms raw aged cheeses along in the following flavors:

Aged Cheddar – You asked, and we listened! A sharp cheddar, aged a year. Award-winning!
Chili – Gouda with Red Chili flakes, this mild and creamy cheese has delightful spice without being too hot.
Country Dill – A house favorite, the dill herb in Gouda well represents the fresh grass that dominates the cows’ diet.
Crofters (NEW!) – This delicious cheese is aged 1 year with a medium sharp taste.
Cheese Sticks – Want to try some cheese, but don’t need a whole 8 ounces? I’ll have a few cheese sticks along each week, in a variety of cheese types, for $2 each.

If there is anything woolly that you are interested in, it doesn’t hurt to shoot me an email. I can’t take everything along every week, so let me know what you’d like me to focus on. Hope to see you Saturday!

Cherry Vanilla Chevre is our newest addition to our spreadable Chevres. We think you’ll like this one, especially good on a morning bagel!
Lady Finger Popcorn!  Grown by our son Paul.

Attending this week’s market:

New Vendor!
The Roaring Mouse of Hart
Titus Vandezande, owner of The Roaring Mouse, lives near
Hart, MI with his wife Ashley and 3 young children. He began roasting coffee
a  year ago and has now become obsessed with the process.
In his own words: ‘I believe that a great cup of coffee should be an experience, instead
of just a caffeine delivery system. I start with the best organically
grown coffees from around the world. I make sure they are purchased by
my suppliers at a price which is fair to the farmer. My single origin
coffees are typically roasted to a light or medium level, since their
individual character will be best tasted in a lighter roast.’
Here at The Roaring Mouse, we believe freshness is a very important
factor in making a great cup of coffee. Coffee tastes the best brewed
within 2 weeks of roasting. We will be providing whole bean coffee
only, which will be roasted fresh every week. All coffees are
available by the ounce, so you can get the perfect amount to last all
week.
In the roaster this week:

•       Bolivia Fair Trade Organic – a sweet rich cup with chocolate notes.
Very good with dessert. This was a favorite last week!
•       Ethiopia Sidama Fair Trade Organic – a complex cup with berry notes
and a sweet finish. This is one of our favorites!
•       Mexico Terruño Nayarita Organic – a bright, rich cup with caramel
notes and a sweet finish. This is another great cup from a group of
small farmers in Mexico. It is claimed to be the best coffee in
Mexico, and the farmers get a high price for the quality.

Come taste the fresh difference! Brewed samples will be available for
all coffees!

We try not to roast too much extra in order to keep the coffee fresh
every week. Pre-orders will ensure that we don’t run out of your
favorite coffee before you get some!
