Bean Medley – Random mixture of our beans, good for soup
Black Calypso  – Slight potato flavor, crumbly texture, good for soups & salads
Black Turtle – Common black bean, great in Mexican dishes
Dapple Grey – Hold shape well, meaty texture, deep flavor, great for soup
Hidatsa Red  – Slight nutty taste, good for soup/chili or red beans & rice
Hutterite Soup  – Comfort food, cook fast, creamy soup, baby food
Jacob’s Cattle  – Big & meaty, taste like potatoes, traditional baked beans, chili
Painted Lady – Slightly sweet bean, smooth, creamy texture, good all-purpose bean
Pinto – Earthy flavor, great in Mexican cooking, fall apart under long cooking
Spanish Tolosana – Rich & creamy, hold shape well, good for chili, bean salads
Tiger Eye  – Creamy smooth texture, rich flavor, tender skin, good all-purpose bean

We had a wonderful experience with our first market day and are excited to be coming again this Saturday. We will have eggs again, chicken as well as a few duck. Our chickens are fed organic feed which we soak for optimal nutrition. They are in a moveable pen, which we typically move every few days.

She will also have a few items for sale from her business NOVA Super.Natural.Bakery. including organic honey caramel corn (corn from Hidden Creek Farm and honey from Lohman’s Farm). She is looking forward to seeing familiar faces and sharing in all that the wonderful farmers have to offer!
