Sweetwater Saturday May 1st One Hour Pre-Order Farmers Market

Sweetwater Local Foods Market

Drive Through or Park & Walk Pre-Order Market
Saturday, May 1st 2021
Limited One Hour Market: 10:00am to 11:00am
Mercy Health Lakes Village
6401 Harvey St. at US31/Pontaluna Rd.
Sweetwater Community
Beginning this Saturday we are offering both Drive Through and Park & Walk-in. Please see the new map. For the most part, we will still be taking pre-orders and the market will still be just one hour until the arrival of our vegetable vendors later in the month. Many of the vendors will also have extra items along with them for purchase the day of the market.
As for Covid protocols, farmers markets are required to maintain a 6ft social distances as well as requiring masks for both vendors and customers walking in.
Please know this is all a work in progress; if something about this new arrangement doesn’t work we will continue to make changes until we have something that the majority of you are all comfortable with.
If you’re new to the market, please see instructions along with the map at the bottom of this newsletter for more info on How to Order & Pick Up at Market. Payment is accepted online when you preorder, or cash/check at time of pickup.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR How to Pre-Order (for both Drive Through & Park & Walk-in)
1. Look over the list. Each vendor has a unique deadline for when they need to receive your pre-order depending on their product. Send your pre-order by email to each vendor you want to order from, within their required deadlines.
2. Vendors will respond back by no later than Friday before market day with an order confirmation and an invoice that in most cases will allow you to pre-pay for your order. If a vendor is not set up to take payment online they will accept checks (preferred) or cash in a sealed envelope on market day pickup.
3. Market Day for Park & Walk-in. Please see the map for where you will need to park and enter the market space. You may pick up your pre-orders from each vendor & purchase from additional vendors who have extra products. Masks are required & please be aware of maintaining 6 ft space between yourself & others.
4. Market Day For Drive Through Pre-Orders: Please see the  market map with arrows indicating which way you should plan to approach the market. You are basically going to come in to the market the same way as before and then circle the perimeter of the vendor area, exiting the same way you come in. We will also have signs to help point you in the right direction.
5. (Drive Through) Using a sheet of paper at least 8.5 x 11, please list all of the vendors you have orders with in black marker (or something as visible), large enough for vendors to see it clearly.  Please put your first & last name at the top of the list. Tape or hold up the list to the side window or front windshield where it will be most visible.
6. Have your trunk, or designated area of your car ready to receive your goods. A cooler is suggested for refrigerated & frozen items.
7. As you are driving through, each vendor will bring your order to your vehicle and place it in the trunk or other designated space, and collect payment if you have not paid in advance. Again, please have checks (preferred) or cash in a sealed envelope with your name and the name of the vendor on the outside of it.

 STAY IN TOUCH!
If you have not already done so you may want to sign up for the newsletter
