Here’s Your Friday Update!
This Friday newsletter is basically the same as the Monday news but with the addition of any new vendors or veggies and items the vendor needs to let you know about for the Saturday market. Preorders for meat items are highly encouraged!
New for tomorrow –
Scholl Farms has Bodacious Sweet Corn!
Blackbird Farms has first of season beets & new potatoes!
George (forager MI Finest Mushrooms) has Red Cinnabar & Black Trumpet mushrooms!
Earthkeeper Farm will be taking preorders for their luscious Elderberries starting next Monday – watch for it in the Monday news!
Organic blueberries were sold out before we got our order in, so if you are interested in some for next week see the listing below.

As always, if your time on Saturday is precious we won’t waste any of it! Shopping for the best in fresh, local & organic foods for your family is as easy as contacting the vendors with your pre-orders and stopping by the market on Saturday from 10am to 11am to pick it up! Of course, if you like to linger we’ll have plenty of things to buy without a preorder, so come on by!

If you’re new to the market, please see instructions along with the map at the bottom of this newsletter for more info on How to Place a Pre-Order & Pick Up at Market. We will also be sending out a Friday update email as a reminder and to list any new products.

Blackbird Farms of Coopersville
Our indispensable crew member Forrest is looking forward to serving up a whole host of delicious veggies for walk-up sales at Saturday’s market!
This week we should have:
new potatoes: Little red-skinned, yellow-fleshed delectable potatoes, perfect for boiling up tender, serving with a little salt and pepper and a generous dollop of good butter, and making your eyes roll right back in your head. Come early—limited quantities available this week.
beets: First of the season for us, goodly sized red beets perfect for anything beets are good for. Again, come early, for there is only a limited quantity available this week.
basil: It’s high summer and time to make pesto with this bumper crop of basil. In fact, make a double batch and freeze half for this winter when the wendigo comes knocking at your door.
head lettuce
Asian greens
kale
swiss chard
green beans
green mini-cabbages, both round and conehead
a variety of summer squash and zucchini
cucumbers

And we just might have a few flower bouquets available as well…
