As I’m typing this up, Mike is out in the fields with the tractor and disc. We have new lambs and new calves on the farm, and it won’t be long until we are planting corn and beans. Here’s what I’m bringing to market on Saturday:
· Certified organic heirloom dry beans. 15 different varieties! We recently dropped our price on Black Turtle and Pinto beans slightly, so if you like these beans, stop by! Also, it’s always more cost-effective in the long run to buy bigger bags of beans. Please email me ahead of time if you need bulk amounts (2# or 5# or more) of anything.
· Get it now! Whole wheat pastry flour ground from certified organic soft red winter wheat grown by Earthkeepers Farm. Pastry flour is best for muffins, pancakes, quick breads, and more. Not suitable for baking yeast breads with. This is the last week we will have the flour along, so if you’ve enjoyed this, stock up! Freezes well.
· Corn meal and grits/polenta. Check with me on this—depending on our miller’s schedule, we may or may not have some along!
· Wool dryer balls. The dryer ball maker (me) has finally made a new batch and I will have them along with me. Great for gifts, or maybe you need to replace your own dryer balls that have gone missing.

Wormies Vermicompost of Grand Rapids
Wormies is a community-oriented worm composting operation in Grand Rapids. We collect food scraps from residents and businesses and recycle them into a nutrient and microbial rich fertilizer. The worm castings are returned to local soil to continue the life cycle as nature intended.
Our worm castings are ideal for:
– Mixing into soil for potted plants, planting seeds and transplanting.
– Topdressing soil for maturing plants and flowering plants.
– Brewing tea to spray on plants or soil.
Instructions
– General use: Mix 1 part worm castings to 3 parts soil.
What sets us apart from other producers of worm compost is the feed we provide to our worms. Our goal is to build an extraordinarily diverse set of microorganisms that will bring your soil to life. We understand that the microbiology necessary for our region should be cultured in our region. A bag of worm castings produced in California will not have the microbiology necessary for the Midwest.

Never  Better Naturals of Twin Lake
Our 100% plant and mineral based SUNSCREEN is back in time for spring! Did you know that Shea butter, coconut oil, carrot seed oil, and red raspberry oil all have SPF protection properties? With the addition of non-nano zinc and beeswax to make it waterproof, it’s a fantastic way to avoid the carcinogens normally found in sunscreen (yes, even some sold at “natural” stores) while protecting your self and loved ones from the harmful UVA and UVB rays of the sun.
We’ll have that available to you at market in addition to our other amazing body, face, & personal care, personal care, cleaning products, and holistic Herbal treatments- handmade for you with love.
See you there! Rachel
