Laughing Tree Brick Oven Bakery of Hart
Laughing Tree Brick Oven Bakery breads are all made from 100% organic flours and grains.  Nearly all of our breads are naturally-leavened using a levain that we cultivate on site in our bakery.  All of our doughs undergo a long, slow fermentation process that produces extraordinarily flavorful and easily digestible breads.  The grand finale:  our breads are baked in a handbuilt ,wood-fired brick oven which creates loaves of amazing texture and beauty!
Come early if you are able!  We often sell out before noon…

THREE NEW BREADS!  (Some people got a sneak peak at these breads at the Muskegon market last weekend.  They will be at both Sweetwater and Muskegon Markets this Saturday.)

Hazel Road Rustic:  An old-time New England bread made with organic cornmeal (Michigan grown) and golden molasses.  A bread with a slightly sweet, complex flavor.  Great for french toast or slathered with jam.  $5.50 a loaf.

Rosemary Round:   This bread begins with the freshest rosemary we can find—either in our own garden or a friend’s garden.  We finely chop this lovely aromatic herb and add it to our light wheat bread.  A bread for simple pleasures…$5.50 a loaf.

Pain au Chocolat:    Bread and chocolate.  Deep, dark French Valrhona chocolate and our lovely light wheat bread.  An extraordinary union made even better when dipped in a cup of good coffee…  $7.00 a loaf.

WE ARE ALSO BAKING FOR SATURDAY:

Homesteader’s Wheat (A light wheat bread with a wonderfully chewy crust) $5.00

Oceana Round  ( Rustic Italian country bread) $5.00

Third Coast Three Seed  (Sunnies, Sesames, and Flax in a light wheat) $5.50

Annie’s Raisin Spice (sweet organic raisins, organic cinnamon, and freshly ground cardamon) $6.00

The Michigander (made with Michigan-grown whole wheat—dark and soulful) $5.50

Griff’s 8-Grain (Hearty, hearty! Eight organic grains and a bit of Michigan honey) $6.50

Finn’s Pecan Raisin Pecan (Jam packed with pecans and organic raisins) $8.25

Elbridge Parmesan Olive (Sumptuous parmesan and Kalamata black olives) $8.00

Irish Cheddar Peppercorn (Smooth Irish Cheddar and tongue-tingling organic black pepper) $8.00

Pastries for Saturday:  We will be baking our NEW Delightful Pecan Date Scones, Cranberry Orange Scones, Truly Ginger Scones, and our Michigan Cherry Scones.  All of our scones are made with organic butter and cream, our own fresh eggs, and a pinch of organic sugar.  We will also be baking our Expedition Cookies, our Tree Hugger PB Cookies, and our Deep Mud Brownies.

***PLEASE NOTE OUR SCONE PRICE CHANGE:  Several months ago we began using  100% organic cream and organic butter in our delectable scones.  This ingredient choice reflects our desire to support organic agriculture and farmers who are using GMO-Free feed (non-genetically modified organisms).    Our scones will now be $2.25 each.

We are truly honored to bake for you and your family.

Hilde and Charlie Muller
