We’ll have our 5 kraut flavors for sale and sampling: All-organic ingredients, naturally fermented, and probiotic. Never cooked, raw and vegan, with no vinegar or starter culture, our Kraut is good on its own, or added to many other dishes, providing great flavor and nutrients.
· Carry Me Away – Traditional caraway kraut, as you find on a Reuben sandwich. This kraut is closest to what many grandmothers made in large crocks in their basement.
· Dillyicious – Our best-seller. Tastes like a pickle. Onion, garlic, dill, and turmeric. Our “gateway kraut” for those who say “I don’t like sauerkraut”.
· Purple Hot & Spicy – Onion, garlic and Cayenne. Hot for some, not so hot for others.
· Curryosity – We love India and Indian food. This kraut is a highly versatile addition to many dishes, or by itself.
· Root for Ginger – Our nod to Kim-chee, with similar ingredients — Carrot, radish, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Just a little heat.
In addition to our 5 delicious kraut flavors, I’ll bring our t-shirts and framed art espousing our messages “Good Food Good Mood”, and “Eat More Kraut”.
– Paul

It was exactly six months ago we were enjoying the abundance of blueberries from Wind Dancer Farm in Grand Haven.  We managed to pack that taste of summer in a jar of jam.  We also experimented with blending our lavender with these tasty little berries.  The results are delicious, but the lavender taste didn’t come through as much as we would like.  We are offering our blueberry lavender jam at a reduced price this week, or buy three of our regular jams and get this one free.  All of our jams are made with local certified organic fruit and sweetened only with local honey.

Cultured Loved of Grand Rapids

Michigan’s Finest Mushrooms of Spring Lake
Pink Oyster Mushroom – has a taste similar to bacon or ham, which is intensified when cooked. Try some in an omelet with goat cheese. Beyond great taste these mushrooms also have medicinal benefits regarding immune system response.
Italian Oyster Mushroom – a meaty mushroom with a nutty flavor. Works well with a good steak.
All oyster mushrooms are a good source of protein, fiber, potassium, vitamin B6 and folate.
Will also have dried Maitake (hen of the woods).
Thanks,
George
